A DBT SKILLS GROUP FOR MOMS

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence- based therapy approach in which the therapist and client work with acceptance and change-oriented strategies to treat low moods, anxiety, irritability, and unwanted behaviors.

DBT encompasses 4 groups of skills:

Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness

  • Be present and grounded
  • Cope with stressors beyond your control
  • Increase self-care strategies
  • Manage intense feelings and emotions
  • Improve communicate and boundaries with others

GROUP INFORMATION

All Groups will be VIRTUAL

from 9am-10am

beginning on the Friday's listed below

Mindfulness Skills

First Friday in October

will run weekly for 3 weeks

Distress Tolerance Skills

First Friday in February

will run weekly for 4 weeks 

Emotion Regulation Skills

Friday Friday in May

will run weekly for 4 weeks

 

Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills

First Friday in August

will run weekly for 2 weeks
